John Switzer | From the Stump: Is ‘last stand’ last word on Custer?

I’ve been pondering a question recently about George Armstrong Custer. Wouldn't Custer now be a favorite son of Ohio if he had not been the commander of the U.S. troops during their massacre at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876?
