John Switzer commentary: Glacier Ridge Metro Park’s ‘three sisters’ oaks like skeletons
I went to Glacier Ridge Metro Park the other day and took what probably was my final walk there this fall. Everything I saw had settled down for a long winter’s nap or had gone away. The barn swallows, red-winged black birds and monarch butterflies were gone, and the wildflowers that grow there were nowhere to be seen.
