John Kasich to suspend campaign today

The presidential campaign of Ohio Gov. John Kasich is coming to end today with an announcement at 5 p.m. that he is suspending his effort. The decision apparently came quickly; Charlie Black, hired to help with a GOP convention fight, said that Kasich was still running as of 8:15 this morning. And campaign manager Beth Hansen sent out a fundraising appeal as recently as 10:16 a.m. today.
