John Kasich gets backing of onetime Clinton ally

Ohio Gov. John Kasich has reportedly secured the support of a onetime ally of Bill Clinton’s for his presidential bid. Ron Burkle, a billionaire investor who has primarily given money to Democrats, is scheduled to host a Jan. 12 fundraiser for Kasich at the Soho House in Los Angeles, Politico magazine reported this week.
