Joe Blundo commentary: Roman Johnson and his mentor

"Emerson Burkhart, Roman Johnson and Friends" will be displayed through Feb. 28 at the Griffin Gallery at Creekside, 77 Mill St., Gahanna. From that testy introduction grew a friendship, with Johnson and Burkhart often sitting together on Columbus sidewalks, painting East Side street scenes.
