Jackets begin playoffs against Capitals Thursday

COLUMBUS – The Columbus Blue Jackets will make their second-straight Stanley Cup Playoffs appearance and fourth in franchise history as they face the Metropolitan Division champion Washington Capitals Thursday.The Blue Jackets, who finished the regular season with a 45-30-7 record (97 pts.), are the first wild card in the Eastern Conference and will take on the Capitals, who went 49-26-7 (105 pts.). It is the first meeting between the two teams in the postseason.The best-of-seven series wi
