Investment bank William Blair making first move into Ohio

William Blair, a global investment-banking and asset-management firm, has expanded into Ohio, where it has opened two offices geared toward helping finance debt for state and local government agencies and public universities. The Chicago-based company has hired a municipal banking team from Fifth Third Bank to run the offices in Columbus and Cincinnati.
