'I did my best': Michael B. Coleman says farewell as mayor
Mayor Michael B. Coleman walked out of City Hall today with the belief that he left Columbus much better than he found it. And then he kissed a police horse before being whisked away in a black Ford Explorer. “I did my best,” Coleman said. “I left it all on the field. I dreamed what Columbus could be and worked hard to achieve it.” Coleman, 61, said goodbye after 16 years in office as a few hundred people gathered under snow flurries outside City Hall to say farewell.
