Hurricane Irma forecast to become major storm

MIAMI (CBS/AP) -- Far out over the Atlantic, Hurricane Irma formed as a Category 2 storm, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said. It posed no immediate threat to land.Irma formed along a course that could bring it near the eastern Caribbean Sea by early next week.The storm's center was about 650 miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands off the west coast of Africa Thursday morning. Maximum sustained winds were near 100 mph. It was heading west-northwest at 10 mph, and no coastal watches or warnings
