Human remains found on north Columbus golf course identified

Perry Township police have confirmed the identity of human remains found on the Brookside Golf & Country Club in February.Police said the remains were identified as 18-year-old Daniel Sanders. Authorities compared a DNA sample from Sanders’ family and the remains that were found.Sanders had been missing since 2005.His remains were found in early February by two women walking in a wooded area by the golf course.Police said Sanders died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
