Homes evacuated after crews hit gas line in west Columbus (UPDATE)

UPDATE: 3:45 p.m.The evacuation in west Columbus due to a gas leak has been lifted. Crews have been able to shut off the leak. Original Nine homes have been evacuated in west Columbus after construction crews struck a gas line.The line was hit on S. Hague Avenue between Sullivant Avenue and Wicklow Road.Crews were working on a fire hydrant when the gas line was hit.The Hilltop library and a UDF were also evacuated.Crews on the scene will first have to repair the water leak before fixing the gas
