Hilltop man pleads guilty in large dogfighting operation

A Hilltop man has pleaded guilty to running a large dog-fighting kennel in the first investigation conducted by the Capital Area Humane Society's new major-case unit. Charles A. Granberry, 40, pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to a charge of conspiracy to participate in a dog-fighting operation and a weapons charge for a gun seized at one of five houses searched.
