Hazmat team responds to Auditor's Office for white powder found in envelope

COLUMBUS -- The Hazmat team is responding to 373 S. High Street on the report of a white substance being sent to the Prosecutor's Office.The substance was found to be sodium oleath.According to Battalion Chief Steve Martin, there was an interoffice envelope sent which contained white powder.There is no threat or reason to believe there is anything hazardous, according to Martin.The Hazmat truck is there "out of an abundance of caution."
