Groveport celebrates heritage on Apple Butter Day

GROVEPORT — Take apples, sugar, cinnamon and Red Hots candy. Simmer and stir all day. While you’re waiting, have a party for a few thousand friends. This was the scene Saturday at Groveport Apple Butter Day, an annual one-day festival at which this suburban city celebrates its rural past.
