GOP rode fundraising to victories

Establishing record majorities in the House and Senate doesn’t just happen by accident. It takes good candidates, favorably drawn districts, a good political climate and nice fundraising advantages. The post-general-campaign finance reports filed Friday show legislative Republicans used their locked-in majorities and bigger numbers to help significantly outraise minority Democrats over the two-year cycle.
