Goodbye November, Hello Meteorological Winter!

As we close the door on the month of November we enter the last month of the year and welcome what’s known as Meteorological Winter. Winter, in the Northern Hemisphere, doesn’t officially start until Wednesday, December 21 at 5:44 a.m.That’s when the sun will be directly overhead at the Tropic of Capricorn and gets to its lowest point in the sky this side of the equator. But Meteorological Winter encompasses the months of December, January and February. That’s because our
