Girl describes dad’s death in 911 call

LANCASTER, Ohio — Shortly before her father was hit and fatally injured by a car driven by her mother, a 12-year-old girl called 911 to summon help to the family’s Fairfield County home. Her father was hurting her mother, she told the dispatcher. Please send someone. The dispatcher kept the girl on the line and reassured her that help was on the way.
