Ginther extends search for new Columbus public safety director

Columbus Mayor Andrew J. Ginther is extending his search for the leader of Columbus’ police and fire divisions — the most important position in his cabinet — after a recent call for applicants did not yield enough acceptable candidates. The city has advertised the position of safety director for nearly two months. The city has twice extended the deadline for applications and now considers the application process open-ended.
