Gas leak under control in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Ohio - One home was evacuated because of a gas leak Thursday night, according to Lancaster Municipal Gas.The leak was in the area of 5th Avenue and Maple Street.The department said the person was asked to leave their home for a short period of time but has since been cleared to return.The leak is under control but workers will continue to work at the scene and monitor the situation through the night, according to the department.Lancaster Municipal Gas general manager Mike Pettit said
