Gahanna man pleads no contest to setting ex-girlfriend on fire

A Gahanna man accused last year of setting his ex-girlfriend on fire, causing injuries so severe that she remains in danger of dying, pleaded no contest to the charges today in Franklin County Common Pleas Court. The move effectively scuttled plans by prosecutors to present video testimony from 33-year-old Judy Malinowski, who has been hospitalized since the attack more than 15 months ago.
