Gahanna has 9 charter amendments on ballot
Elected officials in Gahanna who are charged with a felony will be automatically suspended from office if voters OK a proposed city-charter amendment next month. The new measure is uncommon in Ohio. State law prohibits only felons from holding public office. Through a process outlined in Ohio law, public officials also can be suspended if they’re charged with felony crimes related to official duties, but it’s not a requirement.
