French guard shoots machete-wielding attacker at the Louvre

A French soldier shot a man reportedly carrying a machete and trying to enter the Louvre museum in Paris.Paris' police chief says the attacker shouted "Allahu akhbar" and lunged at a soldier, slightly injuring him.The museum is one of the French capital’s biggest tourist attractions.The suspected attacker was injured in the shooting.Police evacuated the area and temporarily closed the museum.France has been hit by a series of militant Islamic attacks over the past two years.
