French Art Colony doles out numerous art honors -

Jan Thaler, FAC curator, purchased the pastel, "Reaching for the River," by Virginia Carvour, of Columbus, which was awarded Best of Show and first place in the Professional Division. Deb Rhodes and Peggy Saunders, representing WesBanco Bank, purchased two paintings: a color photograph, "The Hunter of Garfield Heights," by David Brown, of Patriot, and "Back Off," also a photograph, by Laura Rainey, of Harrisburg, Ill., which received honorable mention.
