Franklin County Sheriff's Office Therapy Dog becomes a deputy

The first Therapy Dog for the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office was deputized Friday morning.Mattis K. Nine will serve as a comforter to crime victims, as well as traveling to schools, events and hospitals to help care for those in need.With the creation of the program, the sheriff’s office will be one of the only law enforcement agencies in the country with both a K9 unit and Therapy Dog program.The therapy dog program was started earlier this year by Sheriff Dallas Baldwin at the su
