Franklin County can’t fit morgue, lab on new jail site

Franklin County’s new morgue and toxicology lab will not be built on the same site as its new jail. County officials are looking at alternative locations for the morgue because the 23 acres of farmland they purchased at 2551 Fisher Road in 2014 won’t be big enough for both projects, said Kris Long, deputy county administrator.
