Former Orange Township official sentenced for theft in office

A former Orange Township zoning official was sentenced to two years of community control for falsifying financial records and stealing cash for personal use. Thomas Farahay, 64, who has had recent medical issues, was sentenced Wednesday by Common Pleas Court Judge David Gormley. He was charged last year with theft in office, a fifth-degree felony, punishable by up to a year in prison and a $2,400 fine
