Former charter school leader guilty of theft
A jury found the head of two closed Columbus charter schools guilty this afternoon of two counts of theft for depositing checks made out to the school into his bank account and spending the money. But the jury also found that Andre Tucker, the founder of the two Talented Tenth Leadership Academies, was not guilty of burglary after a woman said she discovered him in her Near East Side apartment in January holding some of her belongings.
