Follower of Buddhist monk to be featured in weekend event

The emotions hit him as he walked, slowly and mindfully, alongside a group of Buddhist monks. It was 2005. Vietnam. Nearly four decades after Paul Davis had performed that same kind of walking as a radio operator on a mine-detection team. In 1966, he was part of a war. In 2005, he walked for peace. People lined the streets to offer gifts of fruit, crackers, whatever they had to give. “We were just walking slowly, and there was such love coming out,” he said.
