Flu widespread across Ohio

Flu cases are widespread across the state, with hospitalizations for flu-like symptoms almost doubling to 287 during the first week of January, according to the Ohio Department of Health. The number of hospitalizations for flu symptoms — fever, cough, sore throat, body aces, headache, chills and fatigue — rose from 157 the last week of December, and the total hospitalization since the start of this flu season in October is 654.
