The first Ohio State Highway Patrol said the first African-American to serve as an Ohio State Highway Patrolman has passed away.OSHP said Louis "Lou" Dale Sharp passed away on May 7 at the age of 85.Sharp was born in Columbus in 1932 and graduated from the 44th Academy class in 1955 before being assigned to the patrol post in Findlay, Ohio.Sharp left his position with the highway patrol after nine months.OSHP said he made the move to better support his family.OSHP calls Sharp a trailblazer as he
