Firefighters rescue several animals from west Columbus house fire

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Three dogs and a cat were rescued from a house fire Thursday morning in west Columbus. The Columbus Division of Fire was called around 8:30 a.m. to the 100 block of North Westmoor Avenue.When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from the home. The fire was quickly extinguished, according to the battalion chief on the scene.No one home at the time of the fire but crews located three dogs and one cat inside the residence.
