Firefighters arrive to people hanging from windows during apartment fire

People who live in a southwest Columbus apartment were forced from their homes early Monday morning.Columbus firefighters say the flames began in a pile of clothes in the stairwell of an apartment complex off Briggs Road.Firefighters arrived to people hanging out of their windows, though the battalion chief says no one had to be rescued. Nobody was hurt.Investigators are looking into what sparked the flames.
