Fire contained at Owens Corning insulation plant in Newark

Firefighters from 10 departments across Licking County joined forces Sunday to contain a large blaze inside the Owens Corning insulation plant in Newark. The fire sparked in the factory's ventilation system and took more than three hours to contain, Newark Fire Capt. Alan Ashcraft said. It was first reported at about 11:10 a.m., he said. Nobody was injured.
