Fairfield County school districts seeking new taxes

Eight trailers filled with elementary students studying in makeshift classrooms demonstrate why Fairfield County's Bloom-Carroll district is asking voters on May 8 to approve a $30 million bond issue to build a new elementary school. More young families are moving into the 1,980-student district in the Carroll and Lithopolis areas, adding 79 students this school year alone, Haughn said.
