Fairfield County man sentenced in motorcyclist's death

LANCASTER, Ohio — A judge sentenced a Fairfield County driver to 18 months in prison this morning for causing a crash that killed a motorcyclist. County Common Pleas Judge Richard E. Berens sentenced Darren A. Stiffler after a jury convicted him March 24 of aggravated vehicular homicide. Berens suspended Stiffler's driver's license for 10 years, and also ordered him to pay about $8,000 in restitution to the family of motorcyclist Keith W. Strohmeyer for funeral expenses.
