Fairfield County commissioners approve $45.8 million budget

LANCASTER — Fairfield County commissioners have approved a $45.8 million general-fund budget for next year, about 3 percent higher than this year's $44.4 million budget. Two-percent employee pay raises and higher health-care costs account for some of the budget increase, commissioners said. The general fund supports about 350 employees.
