Express reports disappointing earnings amid sales drop

Express this morning reported a drop in third-quarter profit and forecast that profit for the holiday season would be much weaker than last year. The retailer said it earned $11.6 million, or 15 cents per share, for the 13 weeks that ended Oct. 29, down from $26.3 million, or 31 cents per share, for the same period in 2015.
