Experts: Staying in car often safest after highway crash

The safest place to be after a crash is anywhere but on or near traffic lanes on the highway, accident experts say. “You’re safest not being on the freeway,” said Sgt. Brooke Wilson, of the Columbus Police accident investigation unit.
