Exotic-animal facility seeks cash

The Ohio Department of Agriculture is asking the state for $500,000 to help transport and care for exotic animals that have been seized by or surrendered to the state. Cold weather will prevent workers at the Dangerous Wild Animal Temporary Holding Facility in Reynoldsburg from moving many animals until the spring, which is why officials say more money is needed now.
