Ex-official finds himself on the hook for group's back taxes
Don Stegman has received some unusual, and costly, bills from the IRS over the past two years. Stegman, 67, who lives with his wife in a Polaris-area condominium, has always paid his taxes and was confused. So he called the IRS and was told that, yes, he was personally responsible for more than $300,000. Not his debt, but that of his former Delaware County employer — Central Ohio Mental Health Center, from which he retired two years ago.
