Escaped inmate apprehended in Canal Winchester

An inmate who escaped custody Thursday afternoon has been apprehended, according to Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin.The inmate was found in a residential neighborhood in Canal Winchester.Dispatchers say that the inmate was being transported to Mayor's Court in Canal Winchester when he was able to run away.While authorities searched for the inmate, Canal Winchester Local Schools were placed in a lockdown.
