ECOT, state continue fighting over how to calculate funding
Dating back to 2010, the manual the Department of Education uses to guide its attendance audits allows the use of log-in data to prove that e-school students are engaged in classwork. Not that anyone seemed to notice. Aaron Rausch, director of the department’s Office of Budget and School Funding, went through those manuals as he testified Tuesday as part of a lawsuit filed by ECOT, the state’s largest online school.
