E. coli advisory issued for three central Ohio beaches
Ohio Department of Health has issued advisories at three central Ohio beaches for higher than normal E. coli bacteria levels.The affected beaches are Alum Creek, Delaware Reservoir and Madison Lake.The threshold for issuing an advisory is 235 E. coli colony-forming-units (cfu) per 100 ml of water at public beaches. After testing the water, the health department found the following levels of E. coli:At Alum Creek, the count is 422 cfu/100ml.At Delaware Reservoir, the count is 359 cfu/100ml
