Dublin police welcome new K9 officer

The Dublin Police Department is welcoming a new K9 to the force.Finn is a two-year-old Belgian Malinois, German Shepherd mix trained to follow commands in Dutch.After completing his training, Finn is working with his handler, Office Justin Chappelear. Chappelear is a seven-year veteran with Dublin police.In addition to general patrol duties, Officer Chappelear and Finn will work in narcotics detection, building searches, suspect tracking, evidence searches and criminal apprehension.
