Driver hurt after crashing into pole

COLUMBUS, Ohio-- A driver is in the hospital after crashing into a power pole.Columbus police say the driver lost control of his van and hit a utility pole on Lockbourne Road near Sheldon Avenue. The pole snapped, and leaned over onto the road.The driver was taken to Grant Medical Center. Police have not released his condition.The road will be shut down as crews clean up.
