Driver hears gunfire on Southeast Side, realizes he's been shot

A man suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg while he was driving through a Southeast Side neighborhood Sunday night. Michael Dean, 40, told police that he heard gunshots while he was driving south on Courtright Road near the Petzinger Road intersection at 6:07 p.m. Then, Dean felt the pain in his leg and realized that he had been hit.
