Doctor shot during home invasion has died

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said a doctor shot in his home Thursday has passed away.Authorities said Dr. Kevin Lake was pronounced dead just after 7 p.m. Friday.Police were called to Dr. Lake's home in the 7900 block of Schleppi Road around 7:45 a.m.Dr. Lake’s 19-year-old son told the operator he heard gunshots downstairs where his father was and his father wasn’t responding.
