DNA evidence points to man in Oklahoma for unsolved 1997 rape

DNA evidence from a previously unsolved rape nearly 19 years ago at a Near East Side park has led to an arrest, Columbus police say. Carter is charged with rape and kidnapping, accusing him of attacking an 18-year-old woman during the early morning hours of Aug. 30, 1997 at Beatty Park.
