Deputies find dead newborn in cooler left by road

Georgia authorities are investigating after a deceased newborn baby was discovered in a cooler on the side of a road.Deputies from the Troup County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to Boy Scout Road located in western Georgia after 3 p.m. Sunday.According to a Facebook post from the sheriff's office, witnesses in the area told deputies that the cooler had been on the side of the road for several days, possibly a week.An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
