Democrats push for early voting, but turnout sparse on first day

Early voting began for this year's primary election Wednesday, and, despite Democratic efforts to get their voters out early, the turnout was low for both parties. “First day’s always slow,” said William Anthony, Jr. director of the Franklin County Board of Elections “You’ve got your die-hard folks that are coming out and that’s about it.
